The common raw materials for shaft parts are 45, 46 and 60 high-quality alloy steel, and 46 steel is more commonly used. Carbon structural steels such as Q235 and Q255 can also be used for shafts with small loads or less critical loads. Carbon steel can be used for large supports, radial specifications, net weight restrictions, or some requirements. For example, 50Cr carbon steel can be used in working places with medium precision and high speed, and the raw material has good comprehensive physical properties after heat treatment; The use of Cr15, 63Mn and other carbon steel can be used for higher precision, the working standard is weaker, this raw material after aging treatment and surface quenching its wear resistance, fatigue resistance limit characteristics are good; If the shaft parts working under the high speed and heavy load standards are made of 30Cr, 30CrMnTi, 30Mn2B and other high-carbon steels or 37CrMoA1A carburizing steels, this kind of steel not only has high surface strength after carburizing and quenching or nitriding treatment, but also has a significant increase in the compressive strength of its core, so it has excellent wear resistance, fracture toughness and fatigue resistance limit. Malleable cast iron and high-toughness pig iron are often selected in the shaft for the analysis of the appearance structure of the production because of their good forging characteristics and shock-absorbing characteristics. It is very much in China's research and development of magnesium malleable cast iron, good fracture toughness, together with the advantages of friction reduction, vibration absorption, low stress sensitivity, etc., has been used in the production and manufacture of trolleys, large tractors, CNC lathes on the key shaft parts.

Automobile transmission shafts are composed of shaft tubes, telescopic sleeves and cross shafts. The telescopic sleeve adjusts the spacing between the transmission and the transaxle fully automatically. The tightening condition of the transmission shaft bracket should be checked frequently, whether the vulcanized rubber of the support plate is damaged, whether the connection position of the transmission shaft is loose, and whether the transmission shaft is deformed. The cross-axle cross-wire rolling bearings should be filled with grease frequently, and No. 3 lithium grease should be introduced in summer and No. 2 lithium grease in winter.
