The material of the automobile transmission shaft, how should we choose, we should choose steel, because its plasticity is better, but the strength and hardness will be relatively low, the welding and cold stamping process is also relatively good, can be used to make various standard parts, bushings, containers and other places, followed by the plasticity of high carbon steel is relatively poor, the hardness is high, the fatigue strength will be poor, the cutting performance is relatively poor, the toughness of the shaft parts is not enough, and it is easy to break. It can be properly processed, and after treatment, it can be used to make high-hardness parts such as springs and wire ropes.
It is recommended to choose alloy quenched and tempered steel (belonging to the category of medium carbon steel), the general quenched and tempered steel has poor hardenability and low mechanical properties, and is only suitable for parts with small size and light load. The alloying elements in alloy modulated steels can improve hardenability, significantly enhance the hardened surface effect of heat treatment such as quenching, and do not reduce core toughness.
