The 4G63 engine was first introduced in 1980 and is part of the Mitsubishi Sirius 4G6 family. This engine was originally designed as a 2.0L gasoline four cylinder naturally aspirated engine, and has undergone multiple technological updates with the advancement of automotive technology, including the transition from single overhead camshaft (SOHC) to double overhead camshaft (DHC), as well as the use of higher strength materials and designs, making it a high-performance engine. Especially for the 4G63T turbocharged version, its high-strength cylinder body and components provide great potential for modification. Through participating in the WRC rally, it continuously improves and demonstrates its outstanding performance.
