The GW4D20 turbocharged intercooled diesel engine is a 2.0L high-performance engine independently developed by Great Wall Company. It is made of aluminum cylinder head, inline four cylinders, intake intercooling, forced water cooling, omega type combustion chamber, double overhead camshaft (DOHC), 16 valves, hydraulic tappets, and adopts advanced technologies such as electronic high-pressure common rail, variable cross-section turbocharging (VGT), electronic EGR, and electronic throttle. It has the characteristics of low noise, strong power performance, good economy, high reliability, excellent high and low speed performance, and fast low-temperature starting. Its emissions meet the national IV standard and has the potential to meet the national V standard.
